Our Growth Blueprint and Immune System
DNA, or deoxyribonucleic add, is the complex master molecule that contains the blueprint for a person's repair and growth. Damage to DNA is a major cause of aging. Scientists have discovered that the structure of a person's DNA changes when he or she is sick, but it reverts to its former structure when he or she recovers. Others have found that by passing an electromagnetic flow along an injured tissue or organ, they can speed up its regeneration or recovery.
Chi Kung masters have long helped patients to recover faster by channeling chi or energy to them; and the regenerative rate of Chi Kung practitioners is much faster than that of other people. I believe that a harmonious flow of energy in our bodies helps to realign our DNA structure to its proper pattern, thus preventing illness as well as eliminating random damage to the DNA, resulting in health and youthfulness.
Failure of the immune system causes diseases and aging, which reduce the quality and quantity of life immediately or in the future. For example, influenza, arthritis, multiple sclerosis or cancer occur because the immune system fails to check them. There is no doubt that Chi Kung strengthens our immune system, as explained in Chapter 6, thus minimizing or even eliminating another cause of random damage.
